“To me, visualizing data is a form of storytelling—like coaxing a seed to bloom. It’s not just about numbers or facts; it’s about uncovering the narrative woven within them and translating that into something deeply human.” — Randy Kart / DEXROIX
My creative process begins with a simple but potent idea: a data seed, waiting to take root. Over the course of 25 years, I’ve cultivated a personal archive of more than 86,000 physical textures—each one a voice in a visual symphony, contributing depth, emotion, and nuance to the story unfolding on the canvas.
The materials I work with—ink, paint, wood, thread, newsprint, canvas—are not mere tools. They are repositories of memory. Each carries a tactile history that, when layered and manipulated, creates a conversation between material and meaning.
In my practice, tradition and technology are collaborators. I integrate ancient techniques like héliogravure, cartography, and woodblock printing with modern systems like machine learning and computer vision—digital co-creators that allow me to reimagine and transform texture in ways that extend beyond the physical. These algorithms are trained not just to interpret data, but to echo the imperfections, rhythms, and organic irregularities found in the real world.
Every piece I create is a dialogue—between past and future, analog and digital, creator and viewer. And to preserve that conversation, each work is etched into the blockchain—a permanent, transparent record that affirms its provenance and longevity.
What emerges are modern artifacts—not just artistic expressions, but time capsules. They bridge generations and technologies, holding within them fragments of culture, code, memory, and motion. Each piece is a tangible expression of a moment, a marker that connects our shared past with our unfolding future.
Through this work, I aim not only to create but to preserve narrative—to give form to data, voice to texture, and a future to legacy.
